Wanna-see movies

Where the Wild Things Are
This movie makes me think I’ll miss being just a kid and having the wildest imagination.

500 Days of Summer
Minus the fact I used to have a huge crush on Joseph-Gordon Levitt and now have the biggest girl crush on Zooey Deschanel, this might be a contender for a spot on my “all-time favorites” list. We shall see…I can’t wait for it to come out.

Coraline
Something so beautiful about the creation of this makes me think of it like a French film.

Will you dance with me?

I really wanna dance to their song.

The video is very Science of Sleep (un de mes film préféré).

Bijules

I’m afraid this might make Dagger hyperventilate:

Not only is it gold nails…it is Nicole Ritchie in gold nails. And not only is it nails, but it’s a ring, too. They’re called Bijules and have this ultra cool ring-like thing to dress them precious talons. Do ya dig?

Distracted

I’ve been all sorts of preoccupied lately. Little things, big things…but most importantly, real things. I guess that sounds weird, but sometimes I forget to appreciate the things that make up life. Even if it’s not something desirable, it is still, in some way, effective to create or lead to something wonderful. I forget about how many times I get so disappointed or even get so heartbroken over something…only to come to find out later in life that this has all lead to something even bigger and better.

Frogs, Frocks, and Fringe...oh my!

You may think I’m crazy (don’t worry, I do, too), but I’m just in love with whatever drugs this man is on (I can haz some, please?). I’ve written about him before, and I’ll say it again…I’m obsessed. I love him more than Jeremy Scott, but less than Alexander McQueen (although, I’m beyond disappointed with what he did for target, but that’s a whole other post). Just look at this trip he’s on:

Cage the Elephant

As I’ve wrote before, I always get my music advice from 2…maybe 3 people. Dagger is one I can’t question. She says, go out and get the new Cage The Elephant album (released digitally today on iTunes), and ya know what? I’m gonna go out and do just that. And ya know why? Because she knows her shiii. Plus, I dig this:

Dear Denise,

I would like to thank the girl who looked like Denise Huxtable from The Cosby’s, had the accent that of M.I.A., and wore a rad 80’s sweater and stopped me at the metro card machine the other week. She offered me the rest of her weekly pass and if she only knew how much it made my day that I didn’t have to spend another 10-20 bucks. A small, nice gesture goes a long way…seeing as I’m still remembering this kind deed more than a couple of weeks later. Thank you Miss Denise.

C U R B S I D E

I’m a week behind, but i have to repost from my curbie because it just fills my heart with all sorts of joy. The day we became a gang…

and in the laughing times we know we are lucky

and in the quiet times we know that we are blessed

and we will not be alone ( c u r b s i d e )

Let's Be Friends

I’ve decided to get back on the blog boat…the bloat. Too many wonderful things cross my mind daily not to share. Pictures, poems, people…whatever.

My only qualm is I miss interacting. Whether I know you or not, I would love to hear opinions or comments. I love discussions and meeting new people. I’m all about sharing and supporting others, so let’s be friends…and send me links to your blogs (if you have one)!

Interview with the Olsen

Whoever is the genius that styled this shoot, please take me in and adopt me. The makeup, the hair, the clothes, the set, the girl…Mary-Kate, let’s just trade places, mkay? My gosh, she looks absolutely whimsical.

I’ll admit it…I am obsessed with the pale. First I started with an fascination of the paranormal, then Twilight got me into vampires, and now Interview Magazine’s got me into Olsen-twins (actually, I’ve always been a fan, but you get the picture).

Sweet Bajesus

Can’t say I know a thing about Skid Row…

but this video makes me wish I did.

Oh la di, Oh la da

It snowed today (a lot). I decided to bake.

Not these ^ …but banana bread (I just thought the cupcakes were cute).

I, also, had me a lazy day. I watched two movies I’ve never seen before, both really good. Lars and the Real Girl and Juno. Ryan Gosling is amazingly beautiful…mental illness or not. I fell in love with his story and I wish people all around were as good as the people in his town. Juno was actually a lot more refreshing than I thought it would be. I expected something a lot more cliché, however, Juno’s character was quite sweet, and I think I’m even more in love with Ellen Page than I used to be. Both movies made for a good day.
