JMJP is no longer 23!

So Friday was Parker birthdayliscious. We began vegan style at Red Bamboo's sister restaurant, VP2, and got pregnant with soy babies. Dinner was so delicious, I don't think we should celebrate birthdays anywhere else. Wanting to keep the evening low-key, curbside heading back to Decker's apt. We had party favors, ice cream cake, Dagger specialty drinks, mad libs, and notables ...where I regretfully fell asleep on the couch. Something has been wrong with me lately and I've been sleeping excessively. Ah well...the point is...it was Parker's birthday and I hope she had the amazing day she deserves. Hey, if I dropped my pants for her, I'm sure it was.

Dagger Ink

Besides Gossip Girl and America's Next Top Model...I am currently obsessed with LA Ink. Three shows to be obsessed with in one season is quite the butt load. Of course, you can see how watching this show has gotten me EVEN MORE into the idea of getting a tattoo...so I opted for my own temp version via the Dagger:

So a bird walks into a store...

A seagull in Scotland has developed the habit of stealing chips from a neighborhood shop. The seagull waits until the shopkeeper isn't looking, and then walks into the store and grabs a snack-size bag of cheese Doritos. Once outside, the bag gets ripped open and shared by other birds. The seagull's shoplifting started early this month when he first swooped into the store in A berdeen, Scotland, and helped himself to a bag of chips. Since then, he's become a regular. He always takes the same type of chips. Customers have begun paying for the seagull's stolen bags of chips because they think it's so funny.

Nolita Fairytale

I'm in love with this new video from Vanessa Carlton. Nolita Fairytale.

Having been a while since "White Houses," a song about sex (did you catch that?), this new single came as refreshing new start for the singer. I've come to really enjoy her writing style. It's simple, yet pleasing.

I was never necessarily a huge fan of hers, but once after seeing her play live (one of my favorite singer-songwriters, Ari Hest, was opening for her), I had a newfound respect for her. She wasn't the pop artist MTV/VH1 made her out to be. She was very real...and a skilled pianist. Her experience as a professional ballerina gave her a unique style added to her music as she uses melodies that you can almost visualize dancing in your head. She has a style that I can relate to and makes it totally easy for me to enjoy.

I may have been captured by her video "Nolita Fairytale" before the actual song itself, but I'm sure you will be hearing me sing the tune around the house or in the office (Temis and I have a "song of the day" we like to have to keep us going) in no time. Whatever it is, it makes me smile.

Check out her new video and see how cute she portrays New York City (far too often viewed as dirty, dangerous, and devious) as pleasant/whimsical.

I want tattoos

...but I change my mind every 2 friggin seconds about what I want. I guess that means I shouldn't get one...huh? Actually, I don't really change my mind, there's just a bunch that I want (and that would actually mean something to me, too)...I just assume I'm craving one because I have zero! Someday, I swear I will be getting one...or two..or three. Hehehe. My parents will not be happy...although, my mom DID say she'd get one if they made ink that would disappear after 5 or 10 years....and she loves watching Miami/LA Ink. We have a bargain going on...I think I can make it happen.

Oof. I'm 25...I can obvs do whatever I want, I just don't want to break their little hearts. I lurve them too much. Oh dear, o dear....parents!

Even If It Kills Me...because it probably will

Ok, since I haven’t done this yet, I have to state that everyone must go out and buy Motion City Soundtrack’s new album “Even It Kills Me”...because, well, I might be killed if you dont and also, because it’s pretty amazing. Trust me, you want to own it. And please buy it…don’t download. That’s so lame, we’re old enough here (grownups, if you will)...we should be supporting our artists. This is how they make their living.

Go buy "Even If It Kills Me"...now, now, now!

I can haz bench in livingsroom?

Chicago's favorite

...is also my own. I have to say, I was a little disappointed when they showed a clip show this weekend instead of the finale for VH1's Rock of Love, but I am super stoked to see it this weekend. And FINALLY, Lacey the devil, is gone. Good lord, it's about time, Brett Michaels!

I really hope Jes wins. She's hot, she's real, and she's sane (I think). At this point in the game, though, I have looked past Heather's stripper-stuck-in-the-80's fashion sense and have come to realize she probably has the most genuine feelings for Brett. I guess you can say I would be happy either way.

Must. Document. Lyfe.

Since mon hiplog is dead...should I just post what I normally did there on here? Most of it was random worthless pictures but the contents were more like that of a trash bin. It was the only thing I allowed public. Here, I just tell my friends about (and whoever stumbles upon it...whatever), but the hiplog I left to lurkers who were actually interested (though, probably not). I just dumped all my photos and quick notes there. Maybe I shouldn't have been so careless and actually put some thought into it...I can't help it, though, I have some type of OCD and feel the need to post my whereabouts, everyday activities, and such mindless things constantly.

TODAY tomorrow

So I kinda have this thing for a hipster. He's a little scruffy (just the way I like 'em), shorter than what I usually go for, and is a great kisser...not to mention he gives me the cutest puppy dog eyes ever! His name: Monster.

I'm sure you've all heard me boast about him before, but I seriously love him as if he were my own. His cute little face and the hair that hangs in front his eyes. I just want to hug him forever. He's like the stuff animal I always dreamed of...REAL! My Libby would be jealous if she knew that I so much as let him sleep in my bed.

Anyways, I writing to tell you that tomorrow he is going to be on the TODAY show (with Mama Becca, too)!!! Basically, they just want to show off how darn cute he is...you have to watch! It'll be on somewhere around 10 or 10:30. NBC. Don't miss it! I can't wait to watch it on DVR (I'll be miserably at work).

Dear Hiplog, you are dead to me!

It really sucks. I thought you and I were gonna last forever.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is...Hiplog is no more. The site I once knew, loved, and treasured is gone and gone forever. It will no longer let me and fellow hiploggers post pictures from our daily lives letting you know what concert we're at, what street we're walking on, or what we had for lunch. You will no longer see pictures of ourselves making the same ugly scrunch nosed/annoying kissy faces everyday just to make sure you don't forget our "adorable" faces. Grrr...grrr...and triple grrrrr! After all this time and effort! I will not lie, that was half the fun of having a dang sidekick, and now...your not only making us sign up to a new blog (the supposed replacement hiplog), but we manually have to transfer our blogs ourselves. Way to take responsiblity for your own actions. How immature! Don't expect a phonecall from me...I won't be back. I'm already over you.

You must not know 'bout me
You must not know 'bout me
I can have another you by tomorrow
So don't you ever for a second get to thinkin'
You're irreplaceable

So since I'm not your everything
How about I'll be nothing? nothing at all to you
Baby i won't shed a tear for you
I won't lose a wink of sleep
Cause the truth of the matter is
Replacing you is so easy

To the left to the left
To the left to the left
